GLENDORA, Calif. -- Straight from the legendary photo files of NHRA and National DRAGSTER, the National Hot Rod Association presents NHRA Drag Racing Photo Greats Volume 1: Wild Rides, the second in a collection of specialty books aimed at the NHRA Drag Racing fan.

NHRA Drag Racing Photo Greats Volume 1: Wild Rides is a mind-blowing collection of you've-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it drag racing moments caught by National DRAGSTER's photographers from the 1960s to date. Despite the extreme nature of the images, no racers were seriously injured in any of the incidents pictured.

"With more than 80 color and black-and-white images representing all eras of drag racing, it's not only a trip down Memory Lane but an exciting one as well," said NHRA Editorial Director Phil Burgess. "We spent months going through our extensive photo files, culling the best and most exciting images, some of them never before seen, or not seen in decades, to offer a wide-ranging variety of incidents and race cars. I'm especially proud that all of the images in this book came straight from National DRAGSTER staff members over the years and not from outside photographers, making it a truly homegrown book."
