Persistent rain showers wins again at the 49th annual Kragen O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals. Eliminations will continue on Monday morning starting at 10:30 am at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. One round of Top Fuel and Funny Car was completed today between rain showers. Tony Schumacher was the quickest of the Top Fuel winners, and Ron Capps was the quickest of the winners in Funny Car.

In round one of Top Fuel Antron Brown, Mike Strasburg, Brandon Bernstein, Tony Schumacher, Morgan Lucas, Steve Chrisman, Cory McClenathan and Doug Kalitta were the round one winners. Round two matchups feature Brown vs. Strasburg, Bernstein vs. Schumacher, Lucas vs. Chrisman and McClenathan vs. Kalitta.

Ron Capps

In Funny Car the round one winners were Robert Hight, Jack Beckman, Ron Capps, Bob Tasca III, Del Worsham, Gary Densham, Ashley Force Hood and Jim Head. The round two pairings are Hight vs. Beckman, Capps vs. Tasca, Worsham vs. Densham and Force Hood vs. Head.

In Pro Stock only two pairs were completed before the rain forced the end of the day with V. Gaines and Johnny Gray taking the win lights.

The plan is to start tomorrow morning with Stock round 2 at 10:30 am to be followed by Top Fuel round 2, Funny Car round 2 and finish round one of Pro Stock.
