The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to Honor 2008 Jerry's Nugget Championship Drag Racing Series Champions

LAS VEGAS -- The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will honor its 2008 Jerry's Nugget Championship Drag Racing
Series and Jr. Dragster champions on Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Neon Garage's Blackjack Club at
LVMS. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Jan. 5 and may be purchased through the LVMS ticket office.
Each class champion (Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Motorcycle, High School, Jr. Dragster Thunder, Jr.
Dragster Lightning and Jr. Dragster Novice) will receive two complimentary tickets.
Drag racing champions to be honored on this night include: John Dowd (Super Pro), Phil Doughty
(Pro), Jon Irving (Sportsman), Rick Newport (Motorcycle), Ian Perri (High School), Chad Webber (Jr.
Dragster Lightning), Cody Webber (Jr. Dragster Thunder) and Cody Parsons (Jr. Dragster Novice).
The Strip at LVMS is closed for the holiday season. Drag racing at America's Greatest Drag Strip
