Two blown dragsters to the line. Perkins' car is sporting a unique "T" type nose wing. Perkins gets a remarkable 0.009 RT and runs hard and in front until near the 1000-ft. lights. Big power and MPH on the top end pushes Whiteley past him for the 3/4 car length win.

Two fuelers this time. Shields is too greedy at the launch and goes up in smoke instantly. Reichert wasn't going to make it easy with a better RT and huge ET's and MPH to reset his season's best elapsed time and a new career best speed. The ET is the quicest of this year and he cards the second fastest speed ever.

3:06 p.m. Obviously, he will have lane choice over Whiteley in the final round.
