MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 21st annual O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Mark Hogan Runs 21.784/32.58, Now #2
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.689/206.61, Now #1

Hogan with violent tire shake and made a quick move toward the centerline before he clicked it off. Stevens with a good pass to start the weekend.

Left Lane: Steve Spiess Runs 6.696/206.07, Now #2
Right Lane: John Nobile No Time, Now #4

Nobile with a lot of tire shake and he coast on through...Spies with a good clean pass.

Left Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.702/205.41, Now #4
Right Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.667/206.39, Now #1

Stanfield hikes the front wheels and then gets out of the groove when they come back to earth. He clicked it off and coasted on through the 1320.
