Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Second annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Brian DeLong Runs 7.475/171.66, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.641/172.04, Was #17

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 63 percent, barometer 28.81 inches, adjusted altitude 3,746 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

DeLong with his best pass today, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Junior Pippin Runs 7.137/186.74, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.254/176.01, Was #16
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.076/191.19, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.219/186.18, Was #14

Pippin makes a big move...Junior Pippin's incremental times: 60ft-1.093 sec., 330ft-2.954, 660ft-4.546/153.77mph, 1,000ft-5.940

Stoffer with a great pass to move up to the number four spot. Karen Stoffer's incremental times: 60ft-1.102 sec., 330ft-2.960, 660ft-4.530/156.21mph, 1,000ft-5.902

Left Lane: Paul Gast Runs 7.150/184.07, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.239/178.92, Was #16
Right Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 9.554/95.96, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.167/186.82, Was #13

Gast gets off the bubble and into the number 12 spot. DeSantis with problems early and shuts it off.

Left Lane: Wes Wells Runs 7.111/188.20, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.189/183.77, Was #16
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.068/187.13, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.154/183.64, Was #13

Wells with a nice pass to get off the bump...Wes Wells' incremental times: 60ft-1.083 sec., 330ft-2.948, 660ft-4.535/154.58mph, 1,000ft-5.922 Berry moves into the top half of the show...Mike Berry's incremental times: 60ft-1.076 sec., 330ft-2.917, 660ft-4.490/155.65mph, 1,000ft-5.874

Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 7.045/191.21, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.080/187.39, Was #7

Treble gets off the bump...Craig Treble's incremental times: 60ft-1.079 sec., 330ft-2.944, 660ft-4.529/154.78mph, 1,000ft-5.914 Hines with a great pass to go to the number one spot...Andrew Hines' incremental times: 60ft-1.095 sec., 330ft-2.940, 660ft-4.506/156.44mph, 1,000ft-5.872

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 12.436/66.20, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.118/184.72, Was #13
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 7.017/191.02, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.078/185.59, Was #7

Krawiec takes the number one spot away from his teammate with a nice straight pass...Eddie Krawiec's incremental times: 60ft-1.085 sec., 330ft-2.922, 660ft-4.481/157.14mph, 1,000ft-5.845 Arana with problems a soon as he let the clutch out.

Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 7.818/127.70, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.059/187.23, Was #5

After about an hour and a half rain delay we are back...Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 76 percent, barometer 28.82 inches, adjusted altitude 3,424 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Sampey moves up one spot with her best pass of the weekend. Angelle Sampey's incremental times: 60ft-1.075 sec., 330ft-2.918, 660ft-4.495/155.02mph, 1,000ft-5.891 Smith with problems early.

Left Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 7.063/188.10, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.101/186.36, Was #10
Right Lane: Matt Guidera Runs 7.124/183.69, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.058/185.23, Was #4

No help here for Guidera. Ellis with a nice pass to move up the ladder four spots...Chip Ellis' incremental times: 60ft-1.070 sec., 330ft-2.919, 660ft-4.492/155.42mph, 1,000ft-5.874

Left Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 7.104/186.10, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.088/186.61, Was #9
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.125/185.41, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.058/186.28, Was #3

No help here for either of these two, but still a couple nice runs.
