NORWALK, Ohio - 8:30 a.m. - Yesterday we had great weather (if hot and humid is your piece of cake) and lots of sunshine and weepers. Today we have gray skies and a light mist. The Second annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals are on hold until the mist stops and the track crew is able to prep the track. The mist stopped briefly at 8 a.m. and Super Stock was called to the lanes, but before they even got their engines fired up the mist started again. The only good thing this morning is that the cloud cover is holding track temperatures down and the water seepage problem from yesterday has yet to rear its ugly head. Stay tuned, the Sportsman (Super Stock, Super Gas and Super Comp) fields are down to 25 percent of their original strength, so once we start racing the reports should start popping up frequently.
