6:37 p.m. - DeAngelis was the runner-up here last year. If McPhillips gets to the final round, it will be his fifth final round. He has one win and three losses in his previous final rounds, with his lone win coming in Atlanta in 2005.

The front end of McPhillips's car started to lift up about 300 feet out. He had to pedal it to get the front end back on the ground. DeAngelis got the win and a spot in the final round.

Neither the 71-year old Winward nor the 25-year old Harker have ever been to a final round at a national event. Winward's first divisional final was at Atco in 1970, 13 years before Harker was born.

Both drivers had clean runs but Harker was quicker at the tree and on the track. She'll be in her first final round and will have lane choice over Dave DeAnglis.
