Crash Ends Saturday's Racing

6 p.m. - The remainder of Saturday's schedule has been cancelled/postponed due to repairs needed following Scott Kalitta's crash
during Funny Car qualifying. Specifically, the poles for the safety net were destroyed and have to be replaced.
Qualifying is complete, the fields are set and racing will resume Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
NHRA also made the following official release at 6 p.m.:
"Funny Car driver Scott Kalitta, 46, was transported to Old Bridge Township Hospital after his car went out of control and crashed
in the fourth and final round of qualifying Saturday at the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals.
"More information will be provided as it becomes available."
