Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #3

JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 11th annual Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: David Hope Runs 7.391/171.05, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.212/181.32, Was #12

12:02 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 64 percent, barometer 29.25 inches, adjusted altitude 3,397 feet, track temperature 109 degrees.

Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 7.232/180.16, Now #13; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Junior Pippin Runs 7.293/174.12, Now #14; No Prior Run

Desantis gets in the field for now but probably won't last through the round.

Left Lane: Angie McBride Runs 10.776/68.98, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.370/174.12, Now #15; No Prior Run

McBride gets in on the bump, Harris in 15th, but probably not for long.

Left Lane: Mike Kovacevich Runs 7.372/173.94, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Buddy Robinson No Time, Now #21; No Prior Run

Robinson doesn't show, Kovacevich bumps out McBride.

Left Lane: Ryan Schnitz Runs 7.404/174.10, Now #17; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Tom Bradford Runs 7.371/174.66, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.200/181.40, Was #11

Bradford doesn't improve and stays in the 11th spot.

Left Lane: Wes Wells Runs 7.344/180.55, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.149/184.17, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.191/184.80, Was #10

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.147/181.42, Now #10; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.261/180.09, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.132/186.15, Was #9

Stoffer makes a pretty good run for the conditions and she gets in the tenth spot for now.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.216/179.95, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.140/184.72, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.113/184.98, Was #7

Gann makes a decent run and gets in the field for now. No help for Johnson.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 7.209/159.95, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.106/187.21, Was #6
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 7.037/186.46, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.028/189.90, Was #2

Hines makes a great run for the conditions, the quickest of the round so far.

Left Lane: Matt Guidera Runs 7.130/180.81, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.129/185.87, Was #8
Right Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 7.088/183.00, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.093/183.29, Was #5

Sampey improves from her runs yesterday and she moves up a notch in the order.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.154/181.57, Now #12; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 7.082/184.27, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.039/183.54, Was #3

Treble makes a good run and gets in the 12th spot for now. No help for Ellis.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 7.061/184.93, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.089/187.42, Was #5
Right Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 7.059/188.46, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.027/187.29, Was #1

Smith has a great 60 foot time, a 1.049, but slows a little on the top end.
