TOPEKA, Kan. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX:

Morgan has been to all 20 races here, and he won it in 1993. He is making his first start this year. Morgan with a big starting line advantage and the power to hold on for the hole shot win.

Connolly with the low E.T. of the round and will have lane choice over Morgan in round two.

Edwards and Yates have each won 18 times against the other in prior events. They have raced 12 times in round one and each have won six times. Edwards won this race in 1999 and was runner-up in 1997 where he lost to Yates. They leave together and Yates has the lead until just past half track and then it was all Edwards for the win. Mike Edwards' MOV: 0.0115 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Edwards will give up lane choice to Coughlin in round two.
