TOPEKA, Kan. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: David Grubnic Runs 4.690/303.78, Now #13; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 28.82 inches, adjusted altitude 3,676 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Grubnic with a good clean pass...David Grubnic's incremental times: 60ft-0.885 sec., 330ft-2.241, 660ft-3.168/271.90mph, 1,000ft-3.967


Left Lane: Alan Bradshaw Runs 4.647/307.79, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.679/304.12, Was #12
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.622/305.91, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.624/317.64, Was #9

Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 4.875/244.07, Now #14; No Prior Run

Vandergriff was on a good pass until it pitch a blower belt. Todd with another clean pass.

Left Lane: Doug Herbert Runs 11.687/78.72, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.609/313.15, Was #6
Right Lane: Hillary Will Runs 4.649/285.35, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.661/313.58, Was #11

Herbert rattled the tires right off the starting line and he clicked it off. Will was mixing up cylinders on the top end, but still runs her best pass of the weekend. She will stay 11th. Hillary Will's incremental times: 60ft-0.875 sec., 330ft-2.206, 660ft-3.128/273.55mph, 1,000ft-3.919
