TOPEKA, Kan. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Todd Hoerner Runs 6.826/202.79, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.873/201.46, Was #22

Hoerner improves, but not enough to get into the show.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 6.808/202.39, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.870/200.62, Was #22
Right Lane: Lamar Swindoll Jr Runs 6.880/200.26, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.903/200.20, Was #23

Swindoll Jr. improves, but stays in the number 23 spot. Yonke with a real nice pass to get in the show for now...Bob Yonke's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.845, 660ft-4.374/160.84mph, 1,000ft-5.695

Watson with a nice pass, but not quick enough to get in the show. Gaines with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot...V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.821, 660ft-4.341/161.61mph, 1,000ft-5.654

Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky No Time, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.867/199.55, Was #22

Koretsky shuts it off after the burnout. Naylor gets into the show for now and that bumps out Stanfield...Max Naylor's incremental times: 60ft-1.011 sec., 330ft-2.847, 660ft-4.374/161.02mph, 1,000ft-5.694

Edwards with a great looking pass, straight down the groove. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.825, 660ft-4.342/162.22mph, 1,000ft-5.650 Stanfield gets into the show and these two bump out Kurt Johnson and Ron Krisher.
