First pair is on the line

MADISON, Ill. -- Track drying is just about complete here at Gateway International. From the weather radar, it appears the delay was worth it since no storms are seen for quite a distance, and the predictions are for overcast but dry for the rest of the weekend.

Current temperature is only 64, and the high tomorrow is only expected to be 61. Look for some great performances if the track can hold the horsepower.
