LAS VEGAS - Officials for The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway today released a final run schedule and
Sportsman racer information for the seventh annual Nitro Blast-Off Preseason Test Session which
will take place Jan. 18-20, 2008, at America's Greatest Drag Strip.
"The biggest change for 2008 is that the event will now be a three-day test session instead of four
days" said Chris Blair, LVMS' Vice President of Racing Operations. "In addition, the event will
now start one hour earlier and conclude one hour later each day. This was done to accommodate
racers and crew chiefs who enjoy Las Vegas Motor Speedway's superior racing surface and excellent
atmospheric conditions on the best prepared track in the industry."
Through the years, the Las Vegas test has been the proving ground for technical and safety
developments, the debut of new teams and the opportunity for drivers to obtain professional
competition licenses.
