POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 time trials in Summit Bike/Sled at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 43nd annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Mark Canty Runs 10.067/132.04, Now #5; Best prior run: 10.331/129.29, Was #6
Right Lane: Candy Hagadorn Runs 9.046/138.66, Now #2; Best prior run: 9.187/144.92, Was #2

9:20 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 39 percent, barometer 29.01 inches, adjusted altitude 1,893 feet, track temperature 81 degrees.

It's a gorgeous day at Pomona and the Summit competitors will get two time trials today since they did not get their second time run yesterday.

Left Lane: Jesse Moyar Runs 9.387/135.16, Now #4; Best prior run: 21.510/47.48, Was #7
Right Lane: Ken George Runs 8.383/156.30, Now #1; Best prior run: 8.400/158.59, Was #1

Moyar had a bad run yesterday, this one looked just fine. George hangs on as the quickest and fastest of the two-wheeled competitors.
