Janis has run well all season, but skipped the Edmonton event and that decision may well have cost him the 2007 championship. He will finish second to Scott Cannon, but is going out in style. Another solid, problem-free run to advance to the final round. SStoken led early, but Janis was ahead at 330 feet and going away, even before Stoken's engine started wheezing and banging. Stoken slowed, but the track stayed clean and there was no break in the action.

Lang's car shook and he pedaled early, then went by Stawicki and pulled away for the win. Both cars trailed smoke on the top end and the trackside observers took a good look at both lanes, but there was no oil. Janis will have lane choice against Lang in the final round.
