ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Scott Ray Runs 6.226/228.00, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.410/134.10, Was #15

Ray gets away from the bump spot.

Left Lane: Troy Coughlin No Time, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.844/225.63, Was #15
Right Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 14.052/79.15, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.268/229.78, Was #12

Coughlin broke on the burnout.

Left Lane: Scott Bailey Runs 6.356/226.62, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.628/205.35, Was #14
Right Lane: Shelly Payne Runs 6.100/236.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.131/233.84, Was #8

Payne with a nice pass to move up the ladder. Bailey with his best pass of the weekend.

Left Lane: Raymond Vettel No Time, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.408/221.02, Was #14
Right Lane: Josh Hernandez Runs 6.063/238.09, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.121/234.37, Was #7

Hernandez with a real nice pass. Josh Hernandez's incremental times: 60ft-1.019 sec., 330ft-2.669, 660ft-3.991/188.31mph, 1,000ft-5.118

Left Lane: Tony Pontieri Runs 6.073/235.15, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.158/233.52, Was #10
Right Lane: Rick Stivers Runs 6.098/226.77, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.111/235.80, Was #7

Stivers with his best pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number seven spot for now. Pontieri with good pass to move into the number seven spot.

Left Lane: Steve Engel Runs 6.097/239.87, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.137/240.12, Was #10
Right Lane: Harold Laird Runs 6.107/234.66, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.098/235.80, Was #6

No help here for Laird...Engel moves into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 9.436/104.02, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.127/233.16, Was #10
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 6.066/236.92, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.051/236.51, Was #2

This was a great drag race to wrap up Pro Mod qualifying...Payne holds on to the number one spot, and Russo moves into the number two spot. Russo with the fastest pass of the weekend. John Russo's incremental times: 60ft-1.017 sec., 330ft-2.671, 660ft-3.976/190.97mph, 1,000ft-5.089
