Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #1

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22st annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Todd Hoerner Runs 6.884/202.76, Now #1

Hoerner with a little a wiggle, but he drove through it.

Left Lane: Dave Northrop Runs 14.903/56.19, Now #3
Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.792/202.94, Now #1

Northrop shook right off the starting line and clicked it off. Watson with a nice pass to start the weekend.

Left Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 7.760/128.54, Now #4
Right Lane: Craig Hankinson Runs 6.759/204.91, Now #1

Schmidt with a tire shake early and clicked it off. Hankinson with a real nice pass.

Left Lane: Tom Hammonds Runs 6.779/204.60, Now #3
Right Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.750/205.38, Now #1

Krisher with a nice pass to go to the number one spot.

Left Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.741/204.76, Now #1
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.757/205.19, Now #3

Humphreys goes to the number one spot.

Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.778/204.01, Now #6
Right Lane: Max Naylor Runs 6.721/204.76, Now #1

Naylor goes to the number one spot where he has finished qualifying at the last two races.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.776/204.29, Now #7
Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.718/205.69, Now #1

Yates with a real nice pass to go to the number one spot.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.743/204.63, Now #5
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.730/205.79, Now #3

Weather conditions: air temperature 93 degrees, relative humidity 39 percent, barometer 29.30 inches, adjusted altitude 3,235 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.



Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.778/205.01, Now #11
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.731/205.38, Now #4

WJ with a little wiggle right off the starting line. Morgan straight down the track and into the number four spot.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 7.953/126.49, Now #18
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.764/205.13, Now #10

Line was out of the groove early and then pushed the clutch in early.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.741/205.16, Now #5
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.761/205.01, Now #11



Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.707/206.32, Now #1
Right Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.730/205.63, Now #5

Anderson with a real nice pass to go to the number one spot and also has the fastest pass of the session.
