CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro RWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Manny Cruz Runs 8.706/156.50, Now #4; Best prior run: 9.553/140.58, Was #3
Right Lane: Brad Personett Runs 7.097/213.87, Now #2; Best prior run: 12.305/70.08, Was #4

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 33 percent, barometer 29.20 inches, adjusted altitude 2,617 feet, track temperature 118 degrees.

Cruz leaves but the car isn't pulling hard at all. Personett shook pretty hard but managed to keep the car in the center of the lane and drove through it.

Left Lane: Gary Lee White Runs 10.377/86.42, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.645/208.30, Was #1

The car left really hard with a 1.01 sixty foot but the wheelspeed went out of control soon after and the Scion both smoked the tires and drifted left, close to the wall.
