CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro FWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Ed Bergenholtz Runs 7.845/185.00, Now #2
Right Lane: Gary Gardella Runs 7.156/201.91, Now #1

9:58 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.27 inches, adjusted altitude 2015 feet, track temperature 81 degrees.

The pops, bangs, rumbling, and grumbling has started. Clean passes will set the mark for the other qualifiers.

Lots of smoke from under the unknown car in the left lane down track, but a full pull to take over the current #2 spot. [We'll get the car details in the Qualifying Agate].

Right Lane: Jason Hunt No Time, Now #6

Hunt is pushed off and will not make this session. Ladwig makes a clean run into the number two spot.
