CHANDLER, Ariz. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual Checker Schuck's Kragen NHRA Nationals presented by Castrol listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Gordie Rivera Runs 6.884/201.55, Now #2
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.839/204.76, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 23 percent, barometer 28.23 inches, adjusted altitude 1,950 feet, track temperature 83 degrees.

Rivera made a quick move toward the centerline and rode it all the way down the 1320.

These two were glued together all the way down the track.

Connolly did the burnout and then had some problems to get to back up. Finally he gets it to back up. This was a great drag race with these two going to the number one and two spots.
