INDIANAPOLIS -- Funny Car Teams for 2007 Pedregon Racing today announced that the Palms Casino Resort has re-signed as a major associate sponsor with both Cruz and Tony Pedregon's NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Nitro Funny Car teams for 2007. "It's a pleasure to continue a relationship and a partnership with the Maloof family of the Palms Resort Casino," said Tony Pedregon. "They have a successful history in the entertainment industry, and are big motorsports enthusiasts who have been involved with other forms of racing in the past. It seems natural that we have introduced them to the NHRA experience with extremely positive results. I know that both Joe and Gavin (Maloof) have been to our NHRA events, and they love the sound and power of Nitro Funny Cars. That enthusiasm, combined with the fact that they want to be at the race track personally to experience what it's really like to connect to their customers through the incredible sights, smells, sounds and feel of actually being at a drag race, is why they are involved with the Q Team. The bottom line is that every program has to be good for business - the connection between a sponsor, a driver, their team and the fans is irreplaceable. I'm so glad we have been able to provide that value to them. Q is very pleased to continue their association with the Maloofs and the Palms again in 2007." Cruz Pedregon realizes the value of having consistency in support for a growing professional racing team: "Our Advance Auto Parts Race Team is proud to welcome the Palms Casino Resort back in 2007, their third consecutive year of sponsorship. The Maloof brothers (owners of the Palms Casino Resort) have been so enthusiastic about our affiliation, even attending a few races to really get a feel for what drag racing is all about. I think we have grown as friends and also connect as brothers in business: We know how to stick together to achieve short- and long-term goals successfully. Without the support of the Palms Casino Resort and sponsors like Advance Auto Parts, our team goals of winning the championship in 2007 could not be reached." "We are very proud sponsors of the Pedregon Racing teams," said Joe Maloof. "Tony and Cruz have proven themselves to be not only exceptional competitors, but all-around great representatives of the motorsport industry. Their teams promise to bring a lot of excitement to the 2007 racing series and we look forward to sharing in their success."
