11:37 a.m. Yesterday was absolute carnage in the Funny Car class as engine after engine expired in tribute to the nitro gods. We found a field and here we go. Two semi poor lights but a nice race after that. Jennings finds the suds and drives away from Horan.

This is a good match up. Worsham has a leg up on the speed record and wows the crowd with another dry hop. Both stage and when the green hits both make certain the light is the correct color. Side by side down track until something goes away for Worsham and Krabill gets the win and just about clinches the championship.

Someone leaned out on the burnout but both were able to back to the line. Another side by side race has Pettit pulling away for the win.

La Charite is in as an alternate and faces Romanazzi here in round one. Romanazzi was way early and La Charite takes the automatic win on the red light.
