REYNOLDS, Ga. -- The field is set at the final Southeast Division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at Silver Dollar Raceway. Top Alcohol Dragster pilot, Richard Putz and Top Alcohol Funny Car driver, Jay Payne, will start Sunday's eliminations in the first position.

Putz, of Earlville, Iowa, ran a pass of 5.406 seconds at 261.22 mph to put him in the top spot going into Sunday's eliminations. Putz edged out Dan Mercier of St. Timothee, Quebec for the top spot. Mercier qualified second with a pass of 5.482 seconds at 261.22 mph.

Payne of Claremont, Calif., made a pass of 5.832 seconds at 252.10 mph to qualify first beating out Steve Harker who resides in Brisbane, Australia. Harker qualified second with a pass of 5.841 seconds at 251.20 mph.

In Comp Eliminator, David Eaton of Merritt Island, Fla., driving a '32 Bantam, made a pass of 6.751 seconds to qualify in the first position. Larry Pritchett of Clarkrange, Tenn., qualified second in his '05 Sunfire.

Super Stock racer, Robin Brown of Madisonville, Ky., ran 9.982 seconds in a '66 Chevy to qualify in the top position, while Roy Whittemore of Denver, Colo., will start eliminations in the second spot.

Bill Howell of Aiken, S.C., found the first position in Stock Eliminator with a time of 14.227 seconds. Coty Kern of Donaldsonville, La., qualified next in a '98 Camaro.

In the Top Sportsman category, Ronnie Davis of Suwanee, Ga., made a pass of 6.579 seconds, 213.47 mph for the top spot and Mike Gardner of Haymarket, Va., qualified second with a time of 6.798 seconds at 205.66 mph.
