MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals:

Hight had five wins and two losses against Burkart coming into this race, including the Funny Car final in Denver 2005. Burkart's last win was in Denver in 2004.

This one was a real pedal fest. Both cars launched and smoked the tires. Burkart and Hight pedaled it and both cars started swing the rear ends back and forth. Burkart pedaled it again and got it straightened out, then smoked the tires one more time. Hight pedaled it and the back of the car swung again, with the rear tire crossing the center line. While that was happening, Burkart let his car slow, straightened it, then hit the throttle just enough to get him across the finish line first for the win.
