GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Special awards from the 36th annual Mac Tools NHRA Gatornationals.

Budweiser Shootout award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel) - Dave Grubnic, Ennis, Mont., Zantrex-3 dragster, 4.481 seconds, 331.85 mph.

Skoal Showdown award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car) - Robert Hight, Anaheim Hills, Calif., Auto Club of Southern California Ford Mustang, 4.749 seconds, 325.96 mph.

NHRA King Demon Crown award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Greg Anderson, Charlotte, N.C., Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac Grand Am, 6.633 seconds, 208.23 mph

Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle award ($1,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle) - Andrew Hines, Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson V-Rod, 6.991 seconds, 196.16 mph.

Motel 6 "Who Got the Light" award ($1,000 to the individual Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock driver who earns an elimination round win by the narrowest margin.) - Dave Connolly defeated Warren Johnson by .0088-second margin of victory in the first round of Pro Stock eliminations.

Strange Engineering "Perfectly Strange" performance award ($250 bonus to the first racer in Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street who wins an elimination round by running dead-on their dial-in or index) - Joe Locicero, Super Stock; Jeff Klomps, Super Comp; Larry Bernshausen, Super Gas.

Hedman Hedders Best Engineered Vehicle ($1,000 to the best engineered vehicle) - Wildfire/L&W Roof Systems Super Comp entry. Driver: Kathy Woeber, Palm City Fla.

Brut NHRA Best Appearing Crew - Synder Motorsports Top Alcohol Funny Car entry. Driver: Mick Snyder, Demotte, Ind.

Best Appearing Car - Super Trader Super Stock entry. Driver: Bob Wolkwitz, Darien, Conn.

VP Racing Fuels 30/30 award - Airport Express Super Street entry. Driver: Marc Power, Santa Rosa, Calif.

Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship ($3,000 each to Top Fuel and Funny Car's top crew, $1,500 to Pro Stock's top crew, and $750 to Pro Stock Motorcycle's top crew) - Top Fuel, Doug Kalitta's Mac Tools crew; Funny Car, Del Worsham's Checker, Schuck's, Kragen crew; Pro Stock, Greg Anderson's Summit Racing Equipment crew; and Geno Scali's Trim-Tex crew..
