Halsey got the holeshot he needed, but Ashley had enough to go by and take the win despite a huge move toward the centerline on the top end of the run. An AMS-sponsored car has never won one of these AMS Series races and that streak won't be broken here, Payne running the fastest speed ever in Pro Modified racing. Jay Payne's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.022), 330 ft(-0.017), 660ft(0.004), 1,000ft(0.033). MOV: 0.0686 seconds (approximately 23 feet). Payne has lane choice against Ashley in the final round, it should be a barn-burner.
