GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 36th annual MAC Tools NHRA Gatornationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 53 percent, barometer 29.93 inches, adjusted altitude 1,098 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

Worsham is out of the gate first, but Scelzi has the difference made up by 150 feet and then just drive away for the win. Worsham with a lot tire smoke.

This is the 65th different that Bazemore has faced and he is out of the gate first. Hight started to smoke the tires just before half track and Bazemore moves out of the second round for only the third time here in Gainesville.

Medlen with a slight advantage on the starting line, but Gilbertson has the lead at half track. It was at half track when Medlen had a whisp of tire smoke, but stayed with it.

This is the fourth time these two have raced and Force has won all the races.

Arend with a slight starting line advantage, but Force has the difference made up early and just motored on into round two.

Force will give up lane choice to Gilbertson and Scelzi will have lane choice over Bazemore in the semifinals.
