Information gathering, networking and most of all attention for the sponsor was the name of the game! And just that was accomplished for the Raymond Golson Racing/WorldWide Bearings/Cerbec/KOYO NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle while at the PRI booth of Cerbec. Melissa Cole of Cerbec was a wonderful host as she juggled many hats while working the "very large" room that is the Orlando convention center. A special thank you to Melissa, Jeff, Aaron and Laurence for making the WorldWide Bearings Pro Stock Motorcycle look good! A big thank you to Mike Pulley and Chuck Kotkowski of Koyo, USA. Mike and Chuck are both great businessmen representing a fine company and the WorldWide Bearings Pro Stock Motorcycle team is very fortunate to have their support. The crowd turnout was impressive to say the least with the likes of Steve Johnson and Fred Camarena stopping by to talk, thank you both. Many patrons wanted to know the benefit of the ceramic balls opposed to the regular steel balls... Genuine CERBECR balls are used in every hybrid bearing produced by Worldwide Bearings, CERBECR balls offer lower thermal expansion, smoother surface, increased hardness and stiffness, lighter weight, and corrosion/electrical-resistant properties. Hybrids offer 40% less friction and 60% less rotating weight. The lighter weight enables drivers to achieve higher speeds, which is critical for racing performance. Additionally bearings using CERBECR ceramic balls require less lubrication and less maintenance, while attaining longer life. Now is the time to prepare for the 2006 season, tentative plans calling for the motorcycle to be updated with a Suzuki Hayabusa body from Beasley Co mposites with the work being performed by Todd Athanas of Athanas Racing Chassis. Engine plans call for lots of dyno time provided by Xtreme Machine of Millstone, NJ to get the combination ready for battle. The bike will be painted by Rick's Superpaint of Freehold, NJ. Tentative testing plans call for the team to be at the Eastern Spring Test Nationals @ South Georgia Motorsports Park, Valdosta, GA to further prepare for the coming season.. Ray's thoughts on the upcoming season... Have a good time and perform to the best of my ability while putting out a quality product for my sponsors. That being said, with teammates like Dave Conforti, Tommy Miceli and Jack Baldwin all goals will be accomplished. WorldWide Bearings has many fires simmering, look for a breakout season in 2006. At press time races the team will attend were not finalized.
