VISTA, Calif. -- Reviving one of the great partnerships from the annals of drag racing lore, Don Prudhomme Racing has signed B&M Racing & Performance Products as an official team sponsor, team owner Don Prudhomme announced today.

"B&M Racing & Performance Products is very pleased and excited to be re-united with Don Prudhomme Racing," B&M President Brian Appelgate said. "After being Snake's racing transmission sponsor in the early years of his illustrious career, it made sense to hook up again along with two of the hottest drivers and personalities on the NHRA POWERade tour."

After collecting wins at both the 1965 Winternationals and U.S. Nationals, Prudhomme powered the famed B&M Torkmaster slingshot rail in 1966. With 102 career wins to his credit, Prudhomme will again field a two-car effort in 2006. Two-time NHRA Top Fuel champion Larry Dixon enters the season with 38 career NHRA Top Fuel victories, while Tommy Johnson Jr. has reached the winner's circle six times in his professional career and is one of 13 drivers to have earned wins in both the Top Fuel and Funny Car categories.

"I started running B&M products in the early 1970s with the Hot Wheels cars and that's just a start," Prudhomme said. "Of course, we ran the Torkmaster dragster in 1966. I've been associated with B&M and their products for a long, long time. It feels cool to be part of the B&M team again."
