Wed, 14 Dec 2005, 12:57 PM North Central Division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series 2006 Opener Moved to April 7-9

BUNKER HILL, Ind. -- The North Central Division 2006 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series opener at Indianapolis Raceway Park has been moved from the weekend after Easter, April 21-23 to the weekend before Easter, April 7-9. April 21-23 will be the rain date for the event, if needed. The event will be the final event counting toward the 2006 NHRA Jeg's Allstars in the division.

Additionally, the North Central Division event at Mid-Michigan Motorplex will be a two-day event, July 1 and 2, with Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car contested in an invitational only format. The event will be the first event for 2007 NHRA Jeg's Allstar points and will feature Competition, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street and the NHRA Dart Top Sportsman Racing Series.
