The Rapid Transit Race Team Top Alcohol Dragster driven by Marty Thacker is pleased to announce they will once again be running their operation with TORCO as their major sponsor during the 2006 season. Thacker finished the 2005 season in 5th place in the POWERade National points standings, the 3rd top 10 finish the team has accumulated in the past 4 years on the circuit.

"Wow! During the holiday season we really start to realize how truly blessed we are. Our families, home, and good health give us so much to be grateful for. When you add in all the great things that come out of our racing operation, it really is a wonderful life. We are truly grateful to be signing up for another year with the TORCO family. Evan, Brian, Latrell, and all the other folks at TORCO have not only supported our team financially, but have extended their friendship to us as well. It also helps that they are racers, just like us, so they understand what we do. When a sponsor is also someone you enjoy hanging with, it just makes it that much better," remarked Thacker.

During the 2005 season, Thacker, the former Division 2 champion, won his first Division 3 title. The team accumulated 2 wins and 3 runner-up finishes en route to the championship. They were also honored with the Spitzer Low Qualifier Series Championship.

Thacker is currently concentrating on getting ready for the upcoming season when he will be driving a brand new Spitzer Enterprises chassis dragster.

"We are really excited about what the 2006 racing season holds in store for us. The TORCO folks have some great ideas for us. We have a few ideas of our own, which hopefully turn out to be great ones. And anytime you're getting new pipe, it's exciting. We have worked a lot with Mike Spitzer in the past, but this will be our first 100% Spitzer Enterprises chassis. I can hardly wait for February to get here."

The Team would like to thank all of the people that have helped them throughout the years to make this a winning race team. They are still working to finalize some of the associate sponsorship for the upcoming season. There will be more exciting news relating to the Rapid Transit Race Team and TORCO in the near future. So stay tuned in to find out what is next.

"With the holiday season in full swing, the entire Rapid Transit crew passes along the warmest wishes to all of our racing friends. You have all made our past racing experiences special, and we hope you're all part of our racing future. It's gonna be fun."
