VISTA, Calif. -- Mail order giant Summit Racing Equipment has reached an agreement to become the official mail order company of Don Prudhomme Racing, team owner Don Prudhomme announced today.

The Summit Racing Equipment/Don Prudhomme Racing partnership will see the Summit banner flown on both the Miller Lite dragster of Larry Dixon and the Skoal Racing Chevy Funny Car of Tommy Johnson Jr. during the 2006 NHRA season. The deal also ensures that Summit Racing logos will be visible on the driver's fire suits along with the pit crew member's uniforms.

"This is a great opportunity to work with a couple of very high caliber teams and one of the icons of the sport," Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports and Events Manager Kirk Heinbuch said. "Don Prudhomme Racing is a very well-known group and we're excited to be associated with Snake, Larry Dixon and Tommy Johnson. This will be a good mutual partnership for both Summit Racing Equipment and Don Prudhomme Racing."

Prudhomme, who enters the 2006 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series season with 102 career victories (49 driver, 53 owner), will field Dixon's Miller Lite rail and Johnson's Skoal Racing flopper next season. A 10-time U.S. Nationals winner, Prudhomme is looking to add a seventh NHRA title to his resume of numerous drag racing accomplishments.
