2006 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Schedule

GLENDORA, Calif. --
NHRA has released the 2006 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series schedule of divisional events. The LODRS
season begins in the Southeast Division 2 Feb. 24-26 at historic Gainesville Raceway in Florida and
concludes more than eight months later with the annual Pacific Division 7 closer Nov. 3-5 at The
Strip At Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Divisions 4 and 7 each will host seven events while the
remainder of the divisions will hold six events, all leading to national and divisional
championships.
NHRA's Northeast Division 1 will kick off its season May 26-28 at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading,
Pa., while the North Central Division 3 racers will hit the track at fabled Indianapolis Raceway
Park for their opener April 21-23. South Central Division 4 kicks off March 3-5 at No Problem
Raceway Park in Belle Rose, La., the West Central Division 5 squad May 5-7 for the first of two
events at Heartland Park Topeka, and the Northwest Division 6 troops head into battle for the first
time May 12-14 at Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho.
