KJ held a slim 8-7 edge over Martino in prior races. He may have anticipated a great light by Martino and went red, so Martino's return after two years sees him in the final round.

Line had a record of 8-1 against Coughlin, but he also went red and we'll have two hemi-powered Dodge Stratus cars in the final and Coughlin will have lane choice against Martino.
