ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec:

Rupert is in for Johnson and has a big starting line advantage and the power to hold on for a hole shot win.

McDow's car started creeping and he rolled the light, turning on the red and giving Harrington the freebie.

Gasparrelli with the big starting line advantage and the power to hold on for the hole shot victory and put the number one qualifier on the trailer. Gasparrelli with his quickest pass of the weekend. Steve Gasparrelli's MOV: 0.0292 seconds (approximately 11 feet).

Lewis did his job on the starting line, but Jones was able to chase him down by half track and drive away with the win by about six feet.

Hanna was having problems getting back from the burnout and McClain waits patiently for him. When the light turns green Hanna's car does a huge wheelstand, and then slams back down to the earth. McCain with problems, but will take the win light. Mcclain will give up lane choice to Jones in the next round.

Jones with a lot of tire shake and shut it off. Stidham bang the blower around 700 feet and sent the relief burst panel flying high into the air. Stidham will give up lane choice to Gasparrelli.

Taylor with tire shake and tried to drive through it and got out of the groove and real loose before he had to lift. Kinsley with his best pass of the weekend and will have lane choice over Harrington in the next round.
