ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.721/205.19, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Tony Rizzo Runs 6.889/193.96, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.782/125.03, Was #20

Weather conditions: air temperature 61 degrees, relative humidity 46 percent, barometer 29.89 inches, adjusted altitude 286 feet, track temperature 78 degrees.



Left Lane: Barry Grant Runs 6.781/202.94, Now #21; Best prior run: 26.873/69.96, Was #22
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.726/205.22, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.925/205.07, Was #21



Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 10.082/90.68, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.751/206.76, Was #20
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.700/205.51, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.745/205.79, Was #19

WJ launched hard and had a 0.979 60-foot time and then something happened early and he clicked it off. Morgan with a great looking pass.

Right Lane: Mark Pawuk Runs 6.699/206.04, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.732/205.26, Was #18

Pawuk with a great pass a career best E.T. and mph. Mark Pawuk's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.306/163.71mph, 1,000ft-5.605

Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.723/205.32, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.728/204.88, Was #19
Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 9.710/96.15, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.718/205.35, Was #15

Edwards with a quick 60-foot time, but then fell off and is now number 17. Yates was out of the groove early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 7.043/144.38, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.716/204.94, Was #14
Right Lane: Bruce Allen No Time, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.714/204.76, Was #13

Allen got out of the groove and close to the wall and when he reeled it in the car shot across the track. The car started to get on it's side and he was in front of Koretsky. Koretsky's car then t-boned Allen's car. This looked like a horrible crash. they just showed the replay and Koretsky drove through Allen's car. Allen's car exploded into a bunch of pieces with engine rolling at least 500 feet past the impact. The word from the top end was Koretsky got out of his car on his own power, and Allen will be transported to Dallas Parkland Medical Center, and was conscious.

Smith with problems early and clicked it off. Smith is DRCE 2 block with DRCE 3 heads.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 7.840/125.72, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.706/205.54, Was #11
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.673/206.89, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.695/206.92, Was #5

Line with a good looking pass. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.788, 660ft-4.288/164.15mph, 1,000ft-5.583

Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.703/204.48, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.702/205.29, Was #9
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.699/206.07, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.683/206.42, Was #5

Enders with another good looking pass.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.710/205.32, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.700/205.35, Was #8
Right Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.691/205.16, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.679/206.51, Was #4

Krisher added a 1/2 inch to his wicker.

Number one and two and they give us another good looking drag race. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.271/164.39mph, 1,000ft-5.565
Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.279/163.91mph, 1,000ft-5.574
