ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Tony Rizzo Runs 7.782/125.03, Now #1
Right Lane: Barry Grant Runs 26.873/69.96, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 29.90 inches, adjusted altitude 606 feet, track temperature 76 degrees.

Grant with problems right off the starting line.


Left Lane: Mark Pawuk Runs 6.732/205.26, Now #1
Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.742/204.01, Now #2

Pawuk got out of the groove, but still a nice pass.

Left Lane: Bruce Allen Runs 6.714/204.76, Now #1
Right Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.716/204.94, Now #2



Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.683/206.42, Now #1
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.728/204.88, Now #4

Enders with a nice looking pass, straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.703/205.54, Now #2
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.708/205.38, Now #3

This was a good looking drag race.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.745/205.79, Now #9
Right Lane: Allen Johnson No Time, Now #12

Johnson broke after doing his burnout.

Left Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.718/205.35, Now #7
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.700/205.35, Now #2

Nice looking pass for Jeg to move into the number two spot.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.679/206.51, Now #1
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.702/205.29, Now #4

Krisher with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.782, 660ft-4.289/163.59mph, 1,000ft-5.587

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.925/205.07, Now #15
Right Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.706/205.54, Now #6

Stanfield with problems right off the starting line. Connolly with a nice looking pass. Sounds like Connolly will be back into the Cobalt next year.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.695/206.92, Now #3
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.751/206.76, Now #16

WJ is real loose and made a quick move toward the wall, but stayed with it. Line goes to the number three spot.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.671/207.15, Now #2
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.665/206.99, Now #1

This was a great looking drag race for the number one and two spots. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.286/163.95mph, 1,000ft-5.582
Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.785, 660ft-4.283/164.21mph, 1,000ft-5.577
