To further solidify their mantra of "Customers for Life", Mac Tools, a worldwide tool industry
leader, introduced the Mac CardT one year ago to give technicians the power to purchase Mac Tools
with great interest rates. To celebrate the financing program's tremendous success during its
inaugural year, Mac Tools and Kalitta Motorsports are giving NHRA drag racing fans the 1st
anniversary gift of a specially decorated Mac Card/Mac Tools Top Fuel dragster to be driven by
24-year Top Fuel driving ace and two-time Top Fuel World Champion Scott Kalitta this weekend, Oct.
6-9, in at the O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals in Ennis, Tex., just south of downtown Dallas at the
Texas Motorplex.
"We are thrilled at the success the Mac CardT financing program has given to our Distributors'
businesses and the financing options it gives to our Mac Tools customers," said Brian Kaner, CFO
for Mac Tools. "We are looking forward to advancing the program to provide even more solutions
making our Distributors' and customers' lives easier."
Scott's career at the Texas Motorplex is as impressive as the Mac Card's rookie year. In 1990,
Scott became only the third driver ever to qualify both a Top Fuel dragster and a Funny Car in the
sport's pinnacle professional classes. He won the Lone Star State event in 1995 and was the
runner-up at the all-concrete drag strip in 1993, 1996, 1999 (fall), and 2003. He won the low
qualifier award in Dallas in the fall event of 1999 as well.
Scott, 43, won the opening event of the 2005 season, the famed Winternationals, in Pomona in
February, and he also won the spring NHRA event in Chicago in June. He has 18 (17 Top Fuel, 1 Funny
Car) NHRA national event victories in his career. The Snead Island, Fla., resident is currently
eighth in championship points.
