O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals Fact Sheet

ENNIS, Texas --

The 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec, the 21st of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in three categories earn points leading to 2005 NHRA POWERade championships.

Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2005 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series championships.

WHERE: Texas Motorplex, 7500 W. Hwy. 287, Ennis, Texas. Follow I-45 or I-35E to Hwy 287, then follow 287 to the track.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 6-9.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.5 million.

 
SCHEDULE:
THURSDAY, Oct. 6  
Sportsman qualifying, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

FRIDAY, Oct. 7 
Sportsman qualifying and eliminations, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 4:30 and 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, Oct. 8
Sportsman qualifying and eliminations, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at noon and 3 p.m.

SUNDAY, Oct. 9 
Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m. 
FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION:     
Saturday, Oct. 8, ESPN2 will televise two hours of qualifying highlights at 4 p.m. (ET).
Sunday, Oct. 9, ESPN2 will televise three hours of final eliminations at 8 p.m. (ET).
