Jim Dunn Racing Set to Run Special Johnny Lightning Car in Chicago

JOLIET, Ill. -- Tony Bartone and the Jim Dunn Racing team will feature a special edition Johnny Lightning paint
scheme on the Got CMKX?/Lucas Oil Funny Car at this weekend's Ameriquest Mortgage NHRA Nationals at
Route 66 Raceway.

"We're excited to bring out our Johnny Lightning-themed Funny Car in Chicago," said crew chief and
car owner, Jim Dunn. "We have enjoyed a long running relationship with Playing Mantis and Racing
Champions (RC2) and we really appreciate their continued strong support over the years."
Playing Mantis, based in Oak Brook, Illinois, is best known for its Johnny lightning line of
die-cast automobile replicas, Polar Lights model kits, and collectible figures under the Memory
Lane brand. Playing Mantis' products are primarily sold at mass merchandising, hobby, and drug and
grocery chains. The company has a growing portfolio of exciting product lines that reflect an
enduring commitment to quality, value and collectibility.
RC2 is a leading designer, producer and marketer of high quality, innovative, branded collectible,
hobby, toy and infant products targeted at both adults and children. Their diverse product
offerings include: RC2's Learning Curve Brands for traditional children's and infant toys and RC2's
Collectible Brands, which consists of automotive, high performance racing vehicle replicas;

The Jim Dunn Racing team has campaigned both a Johnny Lightning and a Playing Mantis Funny Car in
the past. The team won back to back NHRA national events running their Johnny Lightning car in
1998, notching a win at the Pontiac Excitement Nationals in Columbus, followed by a victory two
weeks later at the Sears Craftsman Nationals in St. Louis.
