Left Lane: Connie Cohen Runs 7.601/171.29, Now #23; Best prior run: 7.529/157.65, Was #22
Right Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 7.217/182.85, Now #9; Best prior run: 10.155/80.36, Was #25

11:19 a.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 29.83 inches, adjusted altitude 1,313 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

Cohen's bike was slow from the start. Her 60-foot time was 1.260 seconds.

Phillips spun the rear tire when he launched. He drove through it but then slowed at mid track. Gann had his quickest run of the weekend but was not quick enough to make the field.

Stoffer was the first rider in this session to improve her place in the qualifying order. She moved up three spots in the order and pushed Scali down one spot.
