HOUSTON -- After enduring several weeks of speculation about the team's future David Powers Motorsports is proud to announce that both crew chief Lee Beard and assistant crew chief Rob Flynn of the 'Hot Rod' Fuller driven Top Fuel dragster have agreed to join with the team through the 2008 season. The two have been working together since the Mid-South Nationals in Memphis, TN where their "dynamic brain thrust", as team owner David Powers says, notched the team's first national event victory.

"They're able to take their years of experience and wealth of knowledge share it back and forth and then apply it to the tuning of the dragster, it's truly impressive," said Powers.

The team plans to run the remainder of the 2005 season and head into 2006 running on top of their game and competing for the 2006 championship.

"I think we have a good thing going," said Beard. "I really enjoy working with Flynn, and since there are two of us we are able to work hands on with the team to further develop their knowledge. I am looking forward to finishing the rest of season and going after the championship next year."

Powers will be moving the team and shop headquarters from Houston, TX to Indianapolis, IN during the off season.

The NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals will be the next outing for Powers Motorsports where they will run the duration of the season, and pursue a position in the Top 10 points standings.
