Funny Car racer Bob Gilbertson will have a brand-new look on his Terminator Motorsports entry in 2005 as the colors of Autolite XP spark plugs and Prestone antifreeze will adorn the flanks of his Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the entire 23-race NHRA POWERade season.

Autolite and Prestone are divisions of the Honeywell Consumer Products Group, which manufactures and markets FRAM Filters, Prestone Antifreeze/Coolant and car care products, Autolite spark plugs and ignition wire sets and Holts car care products.

"I'm really pleased with the artist's conception and the how the car will look," said Gilbertson. "I've always wanted a black car and with all the graphics, it will really stand out. The truck and trailer will look just as good with some tribal looking flames that will make the transporter look a little bit different from all the other 'corporate' looking rigs out there."

"Not only will we have a new look but we're going to step it up in the performance department," Gilbertson added. "With Autolite and Prestone's support, we now have the budget to do what it takes to move up to the next level and make this team a competitive car and hopefully win some races next year. We're switching over to the set-back blower and have purchased a bunch of new parts that I'm confident will allow us to achieve our goal of finishing up in the NHRA POWERade top-ten in 2005."

Gilbertson's Autolite XP/Prestone Funny Car team will be attending the "Last Chance" test session at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 4-6 then it's on to Pomona for the season-opening CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals Feb 10-13 to kick-off the 2005 NHRA/POWERade season.
