GLENDORA, Calif. -- NHRA officials announced, today, that four drag racing facilities have joined its member track program. NHRA's Southeast Division has signed member track agreements with two tracks, while the South Central and Pacific divisions have each signed one new racetrack.

The Southeast Division's newest tracks are Bradenton Motorsports Park, a quarter-mile facility located approximately 35 miles south of Tampa, Fla., and Sunshine Dragstrip, an eighth-mile track, just west of Tampa. Bradenton Motorsports Park will host a round of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in February and both facilities will participate in the NHRA Summit Racing Series and the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League.

In the South Central Division, Red River Raceway is the latest member track. The quarter-mile facility, located 20 miles north of Shreveport, La., will hold a round of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and will participate in the NHRA Summit Racing Series and the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League.

Albuquerque (N.M.) National Dragway is a quarter-mile track in the Pacific Division and will run the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League.

"We are pleased to welcome these great drag strips into the NHRA member track family," said Tom Compton, president, NHRA. "Preserving the right to race is extremely important to NHRA and cultivating member track participation has been one of our most important initiatives during the past five years. NHRA will always take great pride in supporting facilities that embrace, conduct, and showcase NHRA's grassroots race programs."
