MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

DeAngelis with the starting line advantage and the lead until just before 1000 feet when that hard charging injected nitro burner went blasting by him. DeAngelis with a career best speed here in a good losing effort, and just a tick off his career best E.T.

Albert with the starting line advantage, but Gallant is able to chase him down around 400 feet and blast on through to the next round.

They leave together and Lucas increases his lead at every increment down the track to take the win light. Morgan Lucas' incremental margins: 60ft(0.024), 330 ft(0.040), 660ft(0.066), 1,000ft(0.084). MOV: 0.0961 seconds (approximately 38 feet). Lucas will have lane choice over Gallant in the semifinal.
