GLENDORA, Calif. -- The NHRA announced today that all 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events in 2003 will air in Canada exclusively on TSN for the second consecutive year. TSN will dedicate 51 hours of original programming to the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, beginning with the taped-delay broadcast of the 2003 K&N Filters Winternationals from Pomona, Calif., Friday, March 14 at 2 p.m. (ET). "We very much value our relationship with TSN to provide coverage of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series to our Canadian fan base," said Tom Compton, president, NHRA. "TSN clearly understands the value of NHRA programming, as this marks the second consecutive year on the cable network with expanded coverage to include all 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series national events." As the largest motorsports sanctioning body in the world, NHRA has a strong following in Canada, including 10 member tracks: Luskville, Que. (Luskville Dragway); Napierville, Que. (Napierville Raceway); St. Thomas, Ont. (St. Thomas Dragway); Gimli, Man. (Viking International Raceway); Medicine Hat, Alta. (M.H.D.R.A. Dragstrip); Mission, B.C. (Mission Raceway); Ashcroft, B.C. (Nl'Akapxm Eagle Motorplex); Prince George, B.C. (North Central Motorsports Park); Calgary, Alta. (Race City Motorsports Park); Saskatoon, Sask. (Saskatchewan International Raceway).
