Earlier this week I wrote column that contained a misplaced modifier, a disjointed, run-on sentence, a rider on the wrong bike and a team that wasn’t really a team. Other than that, I got it right. So, I’d like to correct the Pro Stock bike situation. The “Area 51” team that I referred to is a new team and is NOT a Star Racing team. The team, which is owned by a group of five individuals from Texas, will use Star Racing engines and has signed Fred Collis, who formerly rode for Star Racing, to ride the bike. Ken Johnson, who has worked on the Star Racing bikes for years and who has been a member of all of Star’s championship efforts, will be on the crew for the new team. George Bryce will act as a consultant for the team.
