GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Early-morning fog and mist delayed the scheduled 8:45 AM start of racing at Gainesville Raceway and NHRA officials have cancelled the final qualifying session for Competition Eliminator. The 31-car field is set based on two completed rounds of qualifying Friday.

Racing will begin with the final qualifying sessions for Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car at approximately 9:20 AM, followed by the third qualifying session for Pro Modified, Pro Stock Bike,, Pro Stock, Top Fuel, Funny Car, and the remainder of the modified Saturday schedule.

Sportsman categories moved to Orlando because of wet pit areas will run eliminations rounds until they are down to fields of sixteen, then travel to Gainesville for final eliminations Sunday.
